The Board is situated in southcentral Ontario,an area of rich heritage and cultural diversity. Our Catholic educational community spans a significant geographic area, encompassing both rural and urban communities. We have 32 elementary schools, 3 secondary schools, 1 French Immersion school and approximately 11,000 students. We are an area with deep historical roots - Alexander Graham Bell Homestead (the birthplace of telephone), Mohawk Chapel, Ruthven Park National Historic Site, and several museums. Cultural centres include the Sanderson Centre for Performing Arts and nature lovers will enjoy visiting Backus Heritage Conservation Area, Long Point peninsula and unique Carolinian forests. The area is home to community college campuses and the Laurier/Nipissing University campus. As well, five universities - McMaster, Western, Wilfrid Laurier, Brock and Waterloo - are within a one-hour drive. Housing is affordable with a good selection of both rural and urban settings to meet all needs.
