The purpose of ACS is to provide vital services and programs to the residents of Ancaster and surrounding area. Several pamphlets, booklets, maps, government applications are available at this office. Services include: counselling and referral; meals on wheels program; food vouchers; Christmas assistance; assisted volunteer driver program; Let's Do Lunch (monthly congregate dining); community companion program; domestic violence/abuse support; information and referral; travel and tourism information; youth employment services; babysitting courses.

Since its start in 1996, the Career Edge Organization has worked with 1,000 employers across the country and helped 7,000 men and women enter Canada?s workforce as paid interns. The program operates three career-launching internship programs: Career Edge - for recent graduates Ability Edge - for graduates with disabilities Career Bridge - for internationally qualified professionals who have recently immigrated to Canada. Career Bridge is an innovative internship program designed to address the dilemma of ?no Canadian experience, no job; no job, no Canadian experience? that prevents many skilled immigrants from contributing to Canada?s economy.
