The Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre (CBEC) was formed in recognition that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of Ontario?s economy and create jobs, innovation and prosperity. We help small business owners and entrepreneurs succeed in Cornwall and Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry by offering information, tools and support during your start-up and growth stages of business operation. We also offer seminars, workshops and networking opportunities that are designed with the entrepeneur in mind.

WHO ARE WE ? We are a non-profit organization with the mandate to satisfy the employment needs of our community. We are subsidized by different levels of government (provincial and federal) to offer employment services to people looking for work as well as selection and referral services to area employers. We collaborate with training organizations to offer you access to information on trades and careers. The Employment Services Centre of Prescott-Russell provides all work related services in the United Counties of Prescott-Russell. The strength of the Centre is that it offers services to both employers and job seekers, which greatly facilitates the pairing of the two.

Women Entrepreneurs of Cornwall and Area
Women Entrepreneurs of Cornwall and Area, or WE, was formed in 1998 by a small group of women who knew that women business owners needed to connect with one another. Within a half a year, the group had grown from 12 to 80 members, and now numbers over 90. WE's mandate is to provide a forum in which all women in Cornwall and the surrounding Area may benefit.
