Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Georgian Triangle - Volunteer
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Georgian Triangle has been creating friendships since 2003. We started out matching Big Brothers with Little Brothers and have grown to include a variety of different programs that serve both boys and girls. In 2003 our two agencies merged to provide more efficient service to the children of our community. We are proud of our achievements and continue to strive to be on the leading edge of the Big Brothers Big Sisters movement in Canada. Our services have grown over the years, we now offer a wide variety of programs reaching out to children and youth in five municipalities: ClearviewTownship, WasagaBeach, Collingwood, The Town of Blue Mountains and Meaford.
Hospice Georgian Triangle - Volunteer
Hospice Georgian Triangle is a charitable, volunteer-based organization, providing non-medical support to individuals, and families living with any life-threatening illness. 90% of our cases here in the Georgian Triangle deal with cancer.
Stewart Park Festival - Volunteer
Under a canopy of majestic maple trees, the Stewart Park Festival in Downtown Heritage Perth brings together an eclectic variety of Canadian and International musicians for a great weekend of over 30 free outdoor concerts. The weekend has entertainment for everyone including children?s entertainment and an international food and artisans market.
The Alzheimer Society Grey-Bruce - Volunteer
The Alzheimer Society Grey-Bruce is a non-profit corporation and a registered charity, governed by a volunteer board of directors The Society is supported by individual and community sector donations, special events fundraising and also receives funding from the Southwest Local Health Integrated Network. The Alzheimer Society Grey-Bruce is affiliated with Alzheimer Society Ontario and Alzheimer Society Canada. As one of 38 chapters in Ontario, we support persons with Alzheimer'sdisease and related disorders and their caregivers in Grey and Bruce counties with an office located in the largest centre, Owen Sound.
The Children's Aid Society of the County of Bruce - Volunteer
The Children's Aid Society of the County of Bruce is a non-profit agency working in local communities to provide help and support to children and their families. The purpose of the volunteer services is to strengthen, enhance and augment the services to families of Bruce County as mandated in the "Child and Family Services Act". Child Welfare is a community concern that requires community involvement and commitment. The involvement of community volunteers can improve both the quality of the Society's service to children and families.
