Alzheimer Society of Durham Region - Volunteer
Alzheimer Society of Durham Region is a non-profit, charitable organization that was initially founded in 1979 by a group of family caregivers under the direction of Joy Mack. In 1986, it was incorporated and received charitable status. At that time funding for family support and educational programming was received from the Ministry of Health. That funding continues to be a source of revenue for the Society and is augmented with other Ministry funding, grants, fundraising activities and donations.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham - Volunteer
Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham has been creating friendships since 1976. We started out matching Big Brothers with Little Brothers and have grown to include a variety of different programs that serve both boys and girls. We are proud of our achievements and continue to strive to be on the leading edge of the Big Brothers Big Sisters movement in Canada.
Community Care Durham - Volunteer
Community Care Durham (CCD), established in 1977, is a multi-service registered charitable organization. We provide Home Support, Respite (Caregiver Relief) and COPE Mental Health services for adults and their caregivers who have needs related to physical disability, aging and/or mental health. Our services are provided free of charge or for a minimal fee and are administered through nine service locations across Durham
Durham Children's Aid Society - Volunteer
Durham Children's Aid Society has been protecting children in our community since 1905. We are responsible for providing child protection services to children under the age of 16 and their families who live in Durham.

Pregnancy Help Centre of Durham - Volunteer
We are a non-profit Christian organization that exists to extend the love of God to people who may be distressed due to pregnancy in Durham Region. Although many times it may seem easier to end a pregnancy, there is no easy way out of any difficult situation.
Rogers TV Durham - Volunteer
Rogers believes in Local Matters programming, television that brings communities together. Since 1969, Rogers has invested in the creation and ongoing development of Rogers TV a unique community television service available exclusively to Rogers' cable customers, as part of the basic cable service. Rogers TV stations produce more local TV than any broadcaster. In 2010, our stations will produce 17,000 hours of informative local programming involving over 25,000 community groups, underlining our commitment to our communities and to the objectives of the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission?s policy for community-based media. Each one of our 34 Rogers TV stations operating in Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland is an active and involved member of its local city or town, providing timely and relevant programs about local matters.
