At hospice, we are here to help your emotional, social, spiritual and educational needs in your journey for quality of life while living with a life-threatening illness. We support people from diagnosis of a life-threatening illness to remission or end-of-life

Hospice of Waterloo Region is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing comfort, care and support to people affected by life-threatening illness. Our services are provided in home, hospital, or long-term care facility settings by trained volunteers.

Rogers believes in Local Matters programming, television that brings communities together. Since 1969, Rogers has invested in the creation and ongoing development of Rogers TV a unique community television service available exclusively to Rogers' cable customers, as part of the basic cable service. Rogers TV stations produce more local TV than any broadcaster. In 2010, our stations will produce 17,000 hours of informative local programming involving over 25,000 community groups, underlining our commitment to our communities and to the objectives of the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission?s policy for community-based media. Each one of our 34 Rogers TV stations operating in Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland is an active and involved member of its local city or town, providing timely and relevant programs about local matters.

Victim Services of Waterloo Region is fortunate enough to have a fabulous compliment of dedicated volunteers who give of their time freely. Without the help of our volunteers, the agency would be unable to provide quality services to the victims of crime and trauma in our Region. While our volunteers are top notch, we are always looking for additional volunteers to enhance our team! There are three types of volunteers: On Call, Team Leader and Board Member.

Volunteering at Waterloo Public Library is a great way to make a difference in our community In 2009, approximately 160 volunteers donated their time to support services at both the Main Library and the McCormick Branch.

Wellington SPCA provides food, shelter, veterinary care, love and the chance to find a new home for unwanted, abused and neglected animals in the Wellington region.

Wellington Zoo is a magical place of learning and fun, leaving visitors with a sense of wonder and respect for nature and a belief in the need for a sustainable co-existence between wildlife and people.
