WHO ARE WE ? We are a non-profit organization with the mandate to satisfy the employment needs of our community. We are subsidized by different levels of government (provincial and federal) to offer employment services to people looking for work as well as selection and referral services to area employers. We collaborate with training organizations to offer you access to information on trades and careers. The Employment Services Centre of Prescott-Russell provides all work related services in the United Counties of Prescott-Russell. The strength of the Centre is that it offers services to both employers and job seekers, which greatly facilitates the pairing of the two.

Job Zone d?emploi is a non-profit community organization that provides services in English and French to the unemployed and underemployed in Cornwall & Area to help them become employed or to maintain employment. Job Zone d?emploi is a non-profit organization that prepares, guides and assists individuals to find employment through employment and career counselling, information resources, job opportunities and access to community and outreach services. We foster cooperative community partnerships in an effort to be responsive to our clients? needs while being sensitive and respectful of the challenges facing them. We can respond to the needs of employers by providing information on the local labour force, posting employment opportunities, as well as providing support for HR planning and recruitment.
RCAT: Referral Centre for Adult Training Uited Counties of Prescott Russell
RCAT was created by Le Cap: Centre d'apprentissage et de perfectionnement : founder and project manager. RCAT's mandate is to assist adults of Prescott-Russell with the retraining process. RCAT also plays an important role in local planning and coordination as well as start up of joint training programs in the area. It is the only bilingual, multi-sector one stop referral and training centre in Ontario. To achieve this, RCAT: accommodates clients in such a way that stress related to retraining is minimized; identifies the needs of the clients; identifies specific literacy needs (literacy screening); assesses the basic first language and mathematics competencies of the clients; directs the clients to the training centre and/or programs best suited to their needs and their level of competency; conducts a client follow-up; when required, advises clients of other types of training available; advises the referral centre of the client's status up to the time of their registration with a training centre. gathers statistics on competencies and training needs;
