Keewaytinook Centre of Excellence
The delivery of safe potable water to individual community members is a priority for First Nations throughout Canada. The Keewaytinook Centre of Excellence is committed to meet the needs of its clients through the quality delivery of affordable technical and academic training programs. Keewaytinook is your one-stop source for certification courses, academic upgrading and continuing education units.
Northern Community Development Services
We believe people are unique and deserving of a quality lifestyle. Our goal is to equip individuals to improve the quality of their lives by fostering intellectual and social growth that will enrich the communities of the Rainy River District. NCDS will promote, develop, implement and administer community programs for youth and adults. The delivery of service is designed to provide education, skills upgrading, employment counseling, job search training and lifestyle management. We provide: *Information, job search advice and career guidance for young people and adults.* *An Employment Resource Centre that is open to the public.* *Specialized employment services for unemployed youth aged 16-24, students, and Employment Insurance Recipients.* *Workshops, including WHMIS & YWAP, First Aid/CPR, Smart Serve, Employer Expectations, Customer Service, Interview Skills, Skills and Trades, Resume and Cover letter writing and Internet Job Search. (Free of charge to Job Connect participants.)* A Job Development Placement Service for qualifying youth. Employer support services including referrals, assistance with hiring, training, and orientation of new staff, current Employment Standards information, etc. Training incentives (wage subsidies) for employers who hire qualifying youth.

Sioux Lookout Area Aboriginal Management Board
The Sioux Lookout Area Aboriginal Management Board was founded in November 1991 to address the employment and training needs in the geographical area. On April 1, 1999 SLAAMB became an Aboriginal Human Resources Development Agreement Holder (AHRDAH), which became responsible for the delivery of the Aboriginal Human Resources Development Strategy (AHRDS). Part of this responsibility included childcare in the Sioux Lookout Area.

Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund
Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund (NADF) is a non-profit, independent, Aboriginal-owned and operated financial institution that provides business and financial services to Aboriginal people living in remote, non-remote, and urban communities across Northern Ontario. The main office is strategically located in the heart of our service area in Thunder Bay, Ontario and a branch office is also operated out of Timmins, Ontario.

Northwest Business Centre
The Northwest Business Centre is a provincial small business assistance centre developed in cooperation with the province, municipality, and private sector. Our mission is to empower entrepreneurs with the skills, advice, and resources needed to succeed in small business. Our services are free and are available to all community members including business owners, prospective entrepreneurs, youth, aboriginals and other minority groups, and people in certain government programs.
Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre
The Innovation Centre acts as a pivotal player in growing Northwestern Ontario?s innovation capacity. By encouraging ongoing cooperation between business, education and government, the Centre is a driving force to improve economic vitality. In addition, the Centre seeks out new approaches to improve, enhance and invigorate a commercialization system in our region.
Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program
The Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) is a School to Work program that opens the door for students to explore and work in apprenticeship occupations starting in Grade 11 or Grade 12 through the Cooperative Education program. Students have an opportunity to become registered apprentices and work towards becoming certified journeypersons in a skilled trade while completing their secondary school diplomas.

United Native Friendship Centre, Fort Frances
In recognition of the ever-changing world in which we live the United Native Friendship Centre is dedicated to enhancing the lives of native and non-native people in our community and surrounding area. Its primary responsibility is to serve Aboriginal people with special services in the fields of social, educational, and cultural development, while, at the same time, building a bridge of understanding between native and non-native people.
