Volunteering
Goodwill Niagara - Volunteer
Goodwill Niagara is committed to developing relevant programs and services, which respond directly to the needs of our community. We gratefully thank the people who donate their quality clothes and household items, who shop in our stores, who provide financial support, who volunteer their time and hire Goodwill clients as employees. With your continued support, Goodwill Niagara will continue to strengthen the Niagara community - one person, one family and one life at a time.
Niagara Victim Crisis Support Service - Volunteer
Niagara Victim Crisis Support Service (NVCSS) is a dynamic organization whose dedicated volunteer crisis responders respond to referral from Niagara Regional emergency services by offering immediate, vital short-term, confidential support to the ever changing needs of victims.
The Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region - Volunteer
The Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region was founded in 1984 through the vision of a small group of family caregivers who wanted to share their experiences and lend support to other families. Over the next 4 years, the overwhelming need for services in the Region precipitated an application to the Ministry of Health for base funding to hire qualified counselling staff and in 1988, the Family Support Program was developed.
The Niagara Falls Humane Society - Volunteer
The Niagara Falls Humane Society helps find loving homes for unwanted and mistreated animals, as well as trying its best to reunite lost pets with their rightful owners. The NFHS provides a safe haven for pets in limbo, before they are placed in a new home. The Society tries to alleviate the suffering of all animals and to eliminate euthanasia as a method of population control for pets. At the NFHS, no healthy adoptable animal will ever be euthanised.
TVCOGECO - Volunteer
TVCOGECO provides exposure to local organizations, groups and individuals to promote their activities in return for promotional considerations, media partnerships and services in-kind. TVCOGECO produces a wide variety of programming. Staff producers direct the activities of many highly trained community volunteers who commit their time to bring you stories, people, places and events of our community. At TVCOGECO, we enjoy being a part of your community. That's why all of our cable services include a local community channel devoted to covering and discussing those events and issues that matter most to you and your neighbours. Besides a more reliable signal and more convenient service, another reason people prefer cable over satellite is local community programming. Satellite doesn't offer any, while cable devotes an entire channel to it. If it's on in your community, it's probably on TVCOGECO.
YMCA Niagara - Volunteer
We are one of the founding YMCAs in Canada, celebrating 150 years of service to the Niagara community in 2009. Thousands of volunteers, leaders and youth have found the YMCA the place to build character and gain values-based experiences.
